On Monday 13th of November 2017 a report was broadcast about the company THIBAUT on the regional channel "France3 Normandie" in the category "C Normand".
This report which was filmed onsite at THIBAUT and CMI in Vire presents the activity of the group. The CEO, Jacques Thibaut, explained the commercial policy of the company, very internationally oriented. Immersed in the workshop, we see machines being assembled, some of which are leaving the same day to go abroad.
In terms of innovation, Jérémy Hus presents the revolutionary "Octopod" system, a clamping suction cup that works without cables or pipes. This system entirely developed by THIBAUT after 8 years of research, is already in place at several customers (some for over 18 months) and meets a great success!
The main advantages of these "Octopod" are the time saving in the implementation of the clamping, the improvement of the working conditions, the savings in water and electricity but also the reliability of the clamping avoiding any leakage.
In terms of employment, Bruno Gainche explains that following many retirements in recent years, THIBAUT has recruited massively since 2015 at a group level. Other recruitments are still in progress. In addition, THIBAUT created its German subsidiary "THIBAUT DEUTSCHLAND" in Saarbrücken in 2017 and recruited sales and service technicians locally.
